My aim is to help my clients to feel better fast using the powerful and effective combination of psychotherapeutic techniques that are incorporated in the Human Givens approach.

Following early retirement from professional sport, I began a career in the education sector where I have been a qualified teacher for the last fourteen years.

It is in the nature of life to throw up challenges, and it is only human to need a little help from time to time.

Do you feel anxious or depressed or possibly overwhelmed? Does it sometimes feel like something is missing or the challenges of life are getting you down?

I can see you face-to-face at my peaceful therapy room in my home in Brighton, about two minutes walk from London Road (Brighton) Station. I also offer a small number of face-to face evening, or weekend morning appointments from a therapy practise in Kemp Town. Alternatively I can offer appointments via Zoom.

I work with adults and young people and am fully DBS checked and insured.

For as long as I can remember i have been interested in and curious about people. I have also always found meaning in work which has centered on hearing people’s stories. 

I graduated in medicine at the University of Edinburgh in 1985 and have enjoyed working as a doctor in a wide variety of medical settings.

Julian has twelve years' experience as a practising Human Givens therapist working in private practice as well as for a mental health charity in north east England.

Worked 30 years for the HSE Ireland and 15 years as a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Counsellor for patients with mental health issues and addictions.
