Alison's aim is always to help clients take back control of their lives quickly and effectively. She tailors her counselling sessions to suit individual client needs, drawing from a range of techniques and solution-focused therapeutic approaches, particularly mindfulness and human givens. She guarantees that she will always take as few sessions as possible, measure each client's progress every step of the way and help them to learn new skills that they can apply immediately to manage stress.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, Alison ran several successful businesses both in Ireland and the UK in fields as diverse as catering, driving instructing and software localisation. She later ran courses in all types of business subjects, including IT, accounting and entrepreneurship for local development partnerships, VECs and enterprise boards.
Today, in addition to working as a therapist, she also works as a freelance trainer of stress management and mental toughness (or ‘how to bounce back’!) in the Cork area.
