2014 Human Givens Conference – book now

The theme of this year's HGI conference, which takes place on the weekend of 14th-15th June at Sunningdale in Berkshire, is "Mental health in the digital age - is it possible?".

This year's Guest Speaker is Richard Bentall, Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Liverpool. His books include Madness Explained: Psychosis and Human Nature, which won the British Psychological Society Book Award in 2004 and, Doctoring the Mind: Why Psychiatric Treatments Fail – both best sellers. The various other speakers will continue to explore the key theme from a number of angles, some of which include:

How the digital world is affecting school life
How the internet is affecting home life
How many digits do we need? The potentials and pitfalls of technology in the workplace
Working with children affected by online abuse
The lack of real world skills in the digital generation
Online psychotherapy guidelines
Sleepwalking into the future – how technology is changing the global context
