The majority of my professional life has been underpinned by a love of learning in all its guises! Sometimes the lessons to learn are challenging, other times a joy. I believe that learning, knowledge and understanding can be transformative and that with the right supports individuals and families can overcome significant challenges and setbacks to identify and achieve their personal goals.
Over the years I have become a keen advocate of the Human Givens approach as it is both a practical and effective framework to better understand ourselves and our emotional health and therefore transform our lives and achieve our goals.
I hold a Master’s in Education and Training and have worked in senior management roles predominantly in the community and voluntary sector. As an education and training consultant I have worked with a diverse range of public, private and non-profit organisations to develop bespoke workshops in a range of subject areas including personal development, teaching and learning, mentoring, community development and leadership. I have worked with further and higher education institutes to develop accredited programmes which better support equality of access and outcome for all.
I practice at the Dublin Human Givens Centre, Dun Laoghaire and in West Wicklow/Kildare areas. Home visits can also be facilitated. I welcome the opportunity to give free introductory talks about the Human Givens approach and how it can help individuals overcome the many challenges that face us today including anxiety, depression, stress, pain management and addictive behaviours. I have a particular interest in working with students to help them achieve their full learning potential.
