Since re-training as a psychotherapist between 2015 and 2016, I have built up a successful private practice. I am now a full-time psychotherapist and counsellor and work from my home in a dedicated, relaxed therapeutic setting.
I work with children, adults and couples in all areas of counselling and also work with individuals, couples and families of individuals on the Autistic Spectrum through my work as a counsellor with Action for Neurodiversity. I am also an in-house counsellor for service-users of the brain injury trust, Headway, who have an acquired brain injury. I have worked with clients, past and present, for organisations such as PTSD Resolution, Red Poppy and the Internet Watch Foundation and I am also an in-house counsellor form some local businesses on an ad hoc basis.
This has led to broadening my experience and working style to be very flexible, creative and adaptive for this varied caseload of clients. My focus is always on helping the client identify what their goals are for counselling and helping them achieve this by removing whatever stands in their way of being mentally and emotionally self-sufficient in the future.
The Human Givens approach and techniques I am trained in have proved successful in helping hundreds of clients find a satisfying resolution to any issues they have in their lives. In 2023 I trained as an accredited Human Givens supervisor and also provide group supervision to counsellors with Action for Neurodiversity.
