‘Still for sale and looking for a buyer’ – please read the following message from the owners, Keith and Nicola.

Red Poppy is a private company delivering therapy support registered with Companies House in 2002. It was founded by Keith and Nicola Guy with the intention of bringing HG therapy into the workplace where it would be free at point of use to the employee, the service is paid for by the employer. We have long worked in workplace counselling and recognised how well suited HG therapy is to this. The workplace will generally authorise 6 hours of therapy, HG deals with all common mental health difficulties including psychological trauma, quickly and effectively.

Our service soon became successful and largely relies on word of mouth because the therapy works well. We work in a variety of companies, private, frontline public, education, health, construction, transport, retail, tech, we have also formed strategic relationships with Occupational Health who refer their patients to Red Poppy when therapy is required. Wherever possible we use HG therapists, this has become significantly easier to ensure as therapy services have needed to go on line. We have and currently use approximately 150 HG therapists, we like to see Red Poppy as HG in the workplace, we have provided 1000s’ of hours of work to HG therapists. Red Poppy also provides Critical Incident services and in house training courses to companies. We have now reached the point when we would like to retire, however we would dearly love to see Red Poppy continue its vital work with employees using HG therapy.

One of the companies we work with is SWAST (South West Ambulance Services Trust), the largest ambulance service in the country. Their staff routinely deal with traumatic events, suicides, sudden deaths, murder, child deaths, violence. Red Poppy is invaluable to these personnel and others like them, in all of our client organisations, our reputation is impeccable and we wish for HG therapy to continue being delivered in this way, free at the point of use. The future potential for Red Poppy is limited only by the availability of HG therapists, the scope for expansion into other companies as well as the scope for furthering other training services in the workplace. There is huge scope for the provision of regular in house clinics on site, this is a service we were developing pre Covid but which had to be put on hold for obvious reasons.

We are aware there is huge scope for the extension of Red Poppy digitally via all the new platforms. Red Poppy is solid and established, it is at a point where it would benefit from new energy and input, it is an excellent resource and vehicle for HG principles and HG therapists.
