I spent 11 years working as a reflexologist prior to training in the human givens approach. Nine of those years were spent as a volunteer reflexologist at a cancer support centre (The Mulberry Centre, at West Middlesex Hospital in Isleworth), helping people diagnosed with cancer, their carers, and those bereaved through cancer. Since 2013 I have been employing my human givens skills there by working as a counsellor instead, as I find I can be of even more benefit to people in this way. I also run a Carer’s Support Group there once a fortnight, again from the human givens perspective.
Most people come to therapy because they feel stuck in some way, and my job is to help you to become unstuck. Whether your problem is deep-seated, or you would just like to conquer a phobia, or need help coping with a life-changing event, my aim is to enable you to start feeling better from the very first session, and to give you hope that things can change for the better. I will enable you to harness your own innate skills and resources, and gain new perspectives on your problem, giving you the tools to move forwards with your life. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, enabling me to work with children.
I currently work from my practice room at home which is in the centre of Teddington, close to the station and several bus routes, and which has free parking. I am also willing to travel to those in the area who are elderly or disabled. Please email me for an information sheet for more information on sessions, terms of business, and details of how to find me, etc. I am also happy to take calls from those who would rather talk first, before committing to an appointment.
