I can see you face-to-face at my peaceful therapy room in my home in Brighton, about two minutes walk from London Road (Brighton) Station. I also offer a small number of face-to face evening, or weekend morning appointments from a therapy practise in Kemp Town. Alternatively I can offer appointments via Zoom.
Working collaboratively within the holistic and evidence-based framework of Human Givens Therapy, we will establish what you’d like to be different and then equip you with the knowledge and tools to make effective and long-lasting changes. By providing caring and professional support geared towards you as an individual, my aim will be to help you feel better from the very first session.
I hold an enhanced DBS, and have also worked with the Samaritans for the last five years, both as a listening volunteer, a mentor and within the prison outreach service. I have a special interest in the mind-body connection, the role of the expectation effect and the power of exercise in terms of improving mental health.
Testimonials
I sought help from Heather to help me deal with my ongoing depression and anxiety... She was open-minded, empathic, and I felt she was truly interested in me as a person. I can honestly say that after four sessions my mental health is in such a better place, I feel calmer, more in control and am even sleeping better! I still have work to do, but at last I can truly say I am feeling positive about the future

I went to see Heather for help to move on from a traumatic life experience which was still having a negative impact some years later. I straightaway found her warm and easy to talk to. The therapy, including the use of the Rewind Technique, has made an incredible difference to my life. I feel so much lighter and am able to function in a much more normal way.
