Human Givens Book

Human Givens Book

Coming Soon – this new edition of Human Givens brings us smack up to date with the scientific findings that increasingly support its prescient understandings about how human beings function, and the way we can live our best lives.

Written in a lively, engaging style, this edition contains fascinating new research findings and extends our understanding of exactly what can happen when our needs are met well, not met sufficiently, or met in a way that is damaging to others – and relates the impact not only to individuals but within organisational settings such as in health, education, business, and even globally.

Routes of Remembrance

Ashley Lamb

Veteran and Human Givens Therapist Ashley Lamb kindly created a handmade poppy wreath featuring the PTSD Resolution and Human Givens Institute logos which she placed on the Poppies to Paddington (Routes of Remembrance) Train.

The well attended event included the Mayor of Newton Abbot, Councillor David Corney-Walker, one of the Deputy Lieutenants of Devon Robin Barlow DL, the Lord Lieutenants Cadet, members of Great Western Railway, the local branches of the Royal British Legion and the RBL Standard Bearer for Newton Abbot.

"As a Veteran with 24 years’ service and now as a qualified Human Givens Therapist, this meant a lot to me", said Ashley.

PTSD Resolution is a mental health charity which provides human givens therapy to UK armed forces veterans, reservists and families. The charity has been awarded accreditation by the Royal College of Psychiatrists to the Quality Network for Veterans Mental Health Services (QNVMHS).

And the winner is....

And the winner is...2023 has been quite a year for PTSD Resolution chairman and founder Colonel Tony Gauvain (Retired) – with his years of dedicated, unstinting work with the charity to provide free human givens therapy to veterans and their families (over 3,600 veterans have been helped since 2009) receiving considerable recognition.

In May their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort recognised Tony as an outstanding volunteer for the official Coronation celebrations in conjunction with The Royal Voluntary Service, and he was chosen as one of the nation’s Coronation Champions – read more >

And in September, he was honoured with the Healthcare and Rehabilitation Award at the prestigious Soldiering On Awards – read more >

Our heartfelt congratulations Tony – it's recognition that is well deserved.

How to Tame the Political Animal: The Missing Piece is a journey of discovery of the underlying behaviour patterns that makes us politically self-centered, and, effectively, less human – order here >

His online course with Ivan Tyrrell: How to overcome fear and political chaos, gives further useful insights, clarity and some hope... view here >
