He is a Medical Graduate of Faculty Of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. He has a Master of Science Degree in International Health & Tropical Medicine from London University School of Hygiene-Europes, and also holds an MA Degree in Health Management and Planning from Leeds University Nuffield Institute for Health. As a Chief Medical Office for Mental Health, he managed a 1,015 bed psychiatric hospital and has worked as Acting Director and the Director of University Health Services.
