Further Information: Lesley's private practice is based in an accessible rural village location with easy parking. She comes from a nursing background having qualified as a nurse in 1977. For 21 years Lesley's nursing has been based in general practice, being involved with people having conditions with a psychological distress component.These include depression; anxiety; panic attacks; post traumatic stress disorder e.g. after rape, accidents and long-term abuse; relationship problems; addictions and OCD; in addition to less obviously stress related examples of chronic pain; tension headaches; temporo-mandibular joint pain; irritable bowel syndrome and eczema, to name but a few. Lesley is also a coach, enabling people to identify and achieve important goals in life, unlocking potential to reach peak performance, building confidence and self esteem. Her work is based on the premise that we all have the power to control our emotional states and can choose to ignore or change the 'mind chatter' that can often undermine our confidence and contentment.
