Further Information:

Jan runs a private practice from her home in Oxhey, a village near Watford. She takes NHS referrals and has a CRB enhanced disclosure. She also works as a psychotherapist in Dr. Farouk Okhai's Psychotherapy Department in Milton Keynes, an NHS hospital clinic accepting local referrals, and in a General Practice in Luton.

Jan's interest in psychology and psychotherapy began in 1980 with a
bout of depression for which she was unable to find effective help. She started reading extensively and took a psychology degree, graduating in 1985. She discovered MindFields College in 1999 and decided to train
as a Human Givens practitioner. She is married with two children.

Jan has worked in mental health and children's services since 1985, independently since 2003. Currently she is involved in a programme to encourage families to access parental guidance, counselling and other services to enable them to ensure their children's good behaviour in school and elsewhere. Jan also has an interest in how the human
givens approach can help people living with epilepsy.
